Protestantism

Protestantism started to arrive in Cevennes in a significant way after the XVIth century "Réforme".
Its history, its campaigns, its sometimes violent resistance to persecution and intolerance remain alive and fixed in the collective memory and landscape.

It is interesting to let oneself become impregnated by this history and heritage to better understand how the soul of this land was forged especially in the emblematic place of the Huguenots history and the Camisards in the Cevennes: The Desert Museum.
