Tornac, à la croisée des routes autrefois importantes c'est un lieu marquant de l'histoire des Camisards.
Le château dont l'origine remonte au 11ème siècle par sa tour carrée - en ruines depuis 1792 - fait l'objet d'une nouvelle restauration.
Dressé sur un rocher, il offre un panorama intéressant sur la plaine du Gardon qu'il domine.
Dans les environs proches, l'église romane St Baudile et ses cyprès a été parfaitement restaurée.
Accès libre (sous la responsabilité de chacun) au château par un chemin caillouteux mais carrossable.
