The well of Celas was the scene of massacres during the Second World War. It is today a high of the commemoration of the resistance.
Famous for having been the site of atrocities perpetrated in July 1944, the Célas well is located on the territory of the commune of Servas. This former access to the lignite mines was transformed at that time into a mass grave by the SS. Today it is a monument to the memory of the martyrs of liberty.
