The site is located in the former washbasin of the mines and presents the profession of the underground miner. It is installed near the old Ricard Well in La Grand'Combe.

The mine has its memory

Discover the heritage and history of the La Grand'Combe mining basin, the life of the miners through testimonies, tools and objects, the Ricard shaft, classified as a historical monument and the drum of the extraction machine, also classified, unique in Europe.
The Maison du Mineur (Miner's House), located in the old mine shower building, offers an exceptional overview of the surface installations of the Cevennes coal mining basin.
