Do you know spirulina? Come and discover the well-known Spiruline arc-en-ciel, a French peasant spirulina farm in the Cévennes since 2013!
Spirulina, a micro-algae, is one of the world's most complete foods. It's a veritable living fossil: it's been around for over 3.5 billion years on Earth, and helped create oxygen.
More and more people are eating it: athletes, pregnant women, vegetarians, senior citizens, students, etc.
It contains almost all the necessary nutrients in exceptional proportions (beta-carotene, plant iron, proteins, phycocyanine, etc.).
On Emilie and Franck's farm, spirulina is harvested in the morning from April to November. The two producers invite you to discover its history, where it lives and where it is grown today.
The farming couple are used to receiving groups and classes through "Bienvenue à la Ferme" and Civam racines (farm reception).
They offer a free visit and a presentation of their products.
You may have seen the farm in TV programs such as "Les carnets de Julie" or on France 5.
Take advantage of your visit to the Cévennes to come and meet them!
For over 10 years, we've been offering visits for everyone, with no registration required: history of spirulina, production basins, microscope observation, phytodepuration, advice, tasting, and sales of our organic spirulina flakes, tablets and powders at producer-direct prices.
You can visit during opening hours (www.spirulinearcenciel.fr) or by appointment (06 95 00 27 38). They also offer services for groups.
