At the foot of the Mont Lozère lies Génolhac, a thousand-year-old medieval town nestled in the heart of the forests of the Cévennes National Park. Génolhac is a medieval village whose history goes back to the XIths. Shaken by the War of the Camisards, each of its alleys tells this troubled and fascinating story. Nestled in the hollow of the Cevennes mountains, Génolhac has all the assets to delight lovers of preserved nature, authenticity and calm. You will also be able to discover the heritage of agropastoralism which earned the territory its classification as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. You will find an exhibition room which proposes temporary exhibitions on the Cevennes National Park. In our tourist office, you will find a 100% eco-responsible store, with many local and artisanal products.
