Beautiful walks and hikes

through the vineyards and the garrigue

Between scrubland and holm oaks, discover the beauty of the Cévennes piedmont

Here is a selection of our most beautiful itineraries around Vézénobres to appreciate the beauty of the garrigue and landscapes composed of holm oaks, vineyards, olive groves and low walls of old stones testifying to a rich and long history.

The landscapes of scrubland

At the top of the village, several paths invite you to discover an environment of scrubland typical of the Mediterranean basin, with limestone soil and vegetation mainly composed of holm oaks that form a beautiful green setting.

Below the village, other landscapes await you towards the gardon and adjacent rivers. Regularly in autumn, during the Cevenol episodes, these rivers come out of their beds and feed the land with a rich deposit of alluvium conducive to the development of agriculture and viticulture.

  • A few kilometers from the medieval city, Martignargues, another charming little perched village, also offers you a little easy walk. On a 5.5 km route achievable in an hour and a half, you will cross 5 different hamlets.
