eco-engaged actors

Faced with the need to offer tourist services that take into account the economy of resources, a reasoned development as well as a good knowledge of the richness of the territory, Cévennes Tourisme is developing its label “Engagé(e)s Tourisme Durable” to complement the brand “Esprit Parc” which applies only on the territory of the Cévennes National Park.

The objective of this label

The objective is to bring together these professionals and to offer you a network of actors sharing common values.

Universalism:Understanding, esteem, tolerance of opinion and protection of the well-being of all and nature
Transparency:To fight against greenwashing, accept to reveal oneself by displaying quantified data and carrying out concrete and verifiable actions

As well as more personal values such as:

Sharing
Benevolence
Solidarity
Respect for traditions

For local agricultural producers, not to use genetically modified organisms in their production.

The professionals involved in this approach have been audited through 5 axes:

Management
Respect for the environment

Attachment to the territory

Social and solidarity approach

Sensitive approach

3 levels of commitment

Depending on the results of the audit

"Motivated Eco-engaged".

This is the first level: the provider has proven its commitment. Nevertheless, it can still implement additional actions to become more sustainable.

"Eco-involved

Beyond the minimum required, the provider implements enough actions to show a real involvement in sustainability. However, there is room for improvement.

"Exemplary eco-committed".

The provider has demonstrated a very important commitment to sustainable tourism through a large number of actions carried out within its establishment.
