The Cevennes National Park

The Cévennes National Park covers three departments, Lozère, Gard and Ardèche, and concerns the two regions Languedoc-Roussillon and Rhône-Alpes. Five branches cover the territory: Aigoual – Causse-Gorges – Mont Lozère East – Mont Lozère West – Cévennes Valleys.

UNESCO World Heritage

Since June 2011, the Causses and the Cevennes have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a cultural landscape of Mediterranean agro-pastoralism. This recognition confirms the value of an exceptional site whose landscapes have been shaped by the hand of Man for thousands of years.
